Route: Karamadai - Anaikatti - Mannarkad - Kozhikode - Muzhuppilangad
Road Condition: 2 lane road for the entire trip. Beware of rash driving.
Stay: Samudra Homes
The plan is to visit the Muzhuppilangad beach primarily and see few places around Kannur in Kerala. The specialty of the place is its the only drive-in beach in India and its the longest drive-in beach in Asia. This one fact was enough to get me excited and we planned for the trip. We started from home at 5:15 AM. Though it was only 260 Kms google maps was showing more than 7Hrs. We later realized why it was so. The entire trip was on two lane state and national highway. The route has many winding turns and one needs to cautious while driving. We saw ambulance flying multiple times in a day on this stretch on all 4 days of our stay. The drive till Kozhikode was nice as there was less traffic. The drive on the ghat section was a pleasant one.
