After Mauna Bhan Ki Tekri we visited the Taj-ul-Masajid. Its one of the largest mosque in India. As per wiki its the third biggest in India based of the area and 2nd biggest based on the seating capacity. The sprawling size makes it one of the main attractions in Bhopal. Taj-ul-Masajid means crown among the mosques. The mosque has two tall minarets with marble dome on the top. There are three large domes in the center. Like in Makkah Masjid here too there was a large tank at the center. The construction of this mosque started by Nawab shah jahan begum and continued by her daughter. The construction was halted in between and again resumed in 1971 and completed in 1985.
