The biggest of many halls inside the Meenakshi amman temple is the thousand pillar hall. Built in 1569 is one another important attraction inside the meenakshi amman temple. At the center of the hall is the statue of Lord  Nataraja in dancing pose. The hall houses some paintings and other ancient objects. The hall actually has 985 pillars and not 1000 as the name says.

Main entrance to the hall.

The pillars arrange in rows and columns. The ones inside are simple structures.

Model of Meenakshi Amman temple complex.

Picture depicting the divine marriage.

A small ratha kept inside the museum.

Some of the sculptures in the pillars at entrance.

Yali, mythological creature with body of lion and head of elephant.

There are few musical pillars in this call which we missed to see.
