Karamadai Kumbabishekam: Part 1

Date: 6th and 7th June 2015

Event: Kumbabisekam of newly built Raja Gopuram at Karamadai

After nearly 10 years the Raja Gopuram was completed in Karamadai Ranganathar Temple. Kumbabisekam was done on 7th June 2015.The temple is one of the oldest and Lord Venkateswara is the main Deity. Newly built gopuram is some 89ft tall.

The temple is famous for the yearly car festival.

7 stage Gopuram (Vimanam) decorated with color lights.

Water brought from Ganga, Yamuna, Kauvery and Narmadha kept in all the kalasa.

The whole festival was well organized by the officers and the temple management.
Also a great work by the police on the security front its not an easy task to manage such a huge gathering.
